I regularly miss Marilyn. I came to depend on her cheerful resolve to find a solution to every problem in God's care. What a simple and lasting legacy of inspiration she gave to one and all. She never deviated from the truth. I find joy in talking with her family members and also believe she finds daily opportunities to give me a nudge or two to make better decisions in life. Your inspiration continues to be appreciated!

I have thought about Marilyn and her foresight of concern for America if we didn't become engaged in "Restoring our Godly Heritage." She had such great leadership skills for the political yet was caring for the people she worked with. Marilyn did have a passionate love of God, family & country. She was very inspiring.

Dear Family, It is hard to believe the years have gone by now. There is an expression that says when someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. I have so many warm memories of Marilyn and grateful to have known her. She loved her family, country and Jesus. So wonderful we know salvation and the knowledge we will meet our loved ones again because of our Savior. Maybe Marilyn is playing the piano in heaven? I would think she would be a greeter with that beautiful smile.
God bless you all, Judy Tetu

My dear Marilyn. we grew up together at the Avondale Baptist church-- many years, since childhood--Now every morning I think of you when I read from the daily Bible readings that you gave to me at my husbands funeral. I have your picture pasted in this book. I see you every morning. Thank you for your loyal friendship.

What a joy and honor it was to have known this wonderful woman of God. She loved her large and wonderful family, including those she met in the Body of Christ. She asked my wife, Maria and I, to lead the local Spencer Chapter of Christian Coalition of Massachusetts back in the 1990s, and to lead a Pro-Family training session in April 1994, both challenges we accepted. It was a great experience working with this loving woman, so patient and consistent in her faith and doing God's will and work in this damaged land, especially often unfriendly territory here in Massachusetts.

Our deepest condolences to all her children--Bards and Scolas, and it was so nice to speak with you at her Memorial Service in Worcester recently, Sarah. You did a wonderful job capturing the remarkable life of our Christian Sister, Marilyn. May God's love and comfort and many warm memories be with you all now, and always. Jesus is Lord; you will see her again one day in glory, with no health issues in that world to come. Rest in Peace, Marilyn. Maria and I will never forget you. You were dearly loved and will be missed by many. Thank you, sweet Jesus, for this courageous and faithful woman among us!

Dear Family, I am so grateful to have known Marilyn and how she shared her concern for our nation and defending the faith. She had such a gift to work with those who opposed her Christian values. Marilyn was always hospitable and you felt better when you left her presence despite her own challenges. Now she is not hindered by her health problems but know she will be missed by family and friends; we know death separates only for a little while.
God bless & comfort you all

God blessed me by letting me have a friend like Marilyn. She was the most dedicated Christian I have ever known. I will never forget the trip we took to Charlotte to visit our sons-- on the way home she started praying about something we had been discussing and she started praying so hard that she missed our turn off. At my husbands visitation she gave me a very special gift-- a book--"Blessings for the Morning"I read from it every morning and think of my dear friend Marilyn.

I will surely miss this beautiful woman. She always had a prayer to share with me. There is no doubt that she is smiling with Jesus right now and is waiting for us to get there. Prayers and good memories to all of the family.

Marilyn had only recently written to me a lovely note with these expressive words, "May God bless you with His wisdom, discernment and favor." And just as she would write to me these lovely, powerful words, she also lived the truth of these words daily with such ease and grace. Throughout the many years we have known one another, she was to me the epitome of both; and because of these wonderful qualities, she became my friend and I so admired her. I will greatly miss you Marilyn and our enjoyable, intelligent conversations. But I know the presence of your love will forever remain with me. You are a blessing to all who knew you. And to her family, I send my very best to one and all. She loved you all so very much. Warmest regards, Pamela

Dearest John and Family, Marilyn will be greatly missed. She touched many lives as she exemplified Christ in her abundant 'love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control.' The angels rejoiced as she entered her Promised Land and I am confident she will hear, "Well done, My good and faithful servant." I am grateful for the treasured family memories at Ocean House which you and Marilyn made possible. How awesome to think she is now with my grandparents, Mary and Delbert Layton. (No doubt Papa and Lloyd are up to their usual antics.) "May the Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance on you, and give you Peace." With much love, Linda

I had the honor of meeting Marilyn before she moved to Charlotte. She was a wonderful woman with a bright spirit and kind words. I witnessed the incredible bond she shared with her brother and it was a testament to both of them. No one can take her place and she will be missed by many.

To Marilyn's children and brother John--I will surely miss my phone conversations with my good friend, as I have missed our times together after she left Jacksonville. Have lots of beautiful memories of at least 68 years of friendship. She certainly cherished each one of you, and you were blessed to have her!
