Mary Allison Obituary

Mary E. Allison CLOVER - Mrs. Mary E. Allison, 76, of Shalimar, FL, and formerly of Clover, SC, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Born September 29, 1935 in York County, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Mildred Davis Byrd. She was the widow of Mr. Bobby E. Allison. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Clover, SC, and worked as a licensed cosmetologist. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 63, Grand Chapter of Maryland. Mrs. Allison was also a faithful member of Flat Rock Baptist Church in Clover. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda McClary (Rick) of Woodbridge, VA; two sons, Kelvin Allison (Danita) of Washington, DC, and Tino Allison (Angelia) of Rock Hill, SC; five grandchildren; one brother, Willie Byrd (Loretta) of Gastonia, NC; one sister, Daisy Lewis of Charlotte, NC; and a sister-in-law, Mary Campbell of Clover, SC. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Clover, SC. In honor of Mrs. Allison's love of hats, ladies attending the funeral are kindly requested to wear a hat. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Monday, May 7, 2012 at Wright Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Tino Allison, 1757 Hardy Drive, Rock Hill, SC.
