Dr.Godwin and the rest of the children. I am thinking of how hard it is for you and your family. I am praying that you all find the peace and comfort to get you through the lonely times without Mrs. Godwin and your mom.You need to remember the good times and the love that she gave to you and to everyone that she met and knew. I can remember seeing her at church with a hug and a smile for me every time I would see her. I love you all and am so grateful for the kindness that she always showed to me and my famil. I want you (Dr. Godwin) to get better yourself. Your family needs you. You all are in my prayers and if there is anything that I can do for you, just let me know. I know your pain and trust me it is knowing that one day we are going to see them again. They are not sick anymore and are rejoicing with our maker. What a wonderful blessing that is know where they are.
God Bless You

Dear Dr. Godwin & Family,
I was very saddened to learn of Mrs. Godwin's death. She was an exceptionally nice Christian lady. She is now in Heaven for which she has prepared during her entire life. She will be missed until she is later joined by those who loved her.

You
never really know what to say at a time like this, except for the fact that
God makes no mistakes, and everything that happens is His will and is for
a reason. To the family, I send my heart felt sympathies. Our families grew
up together and I know each of you and you will all be in my prayers daily.I
spent lots of time at your home as a teenager and I dont think I have ever
met a nicer, sweeter lady than that of Mrs. G as we refered to her.I have
gone to Doc Godwin myself, since I was a young boy, he delivered my son,
and I was named after Mrs. Godwins Brother, Dr. J Earl Hodge, who delivered
me. Doc, Mary Lynn, and Guys, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Everything
that could have been done for your mother was done, it was just Gods will
for things to happen as they did. Matthew 5:4
