I had the privilege of being part of Mel's transplant team; over the years she went from being my patient to my dear friend. We laughed, cried and prayed together, and even got into some trouble together.
I am so grateful that Melodie and Craig allowed me to be part of their lives.
Craig and Max my heart breaks for you and your families. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Please know how much I loved Mel. Maureen

To the Family, I'm so sorry for your loss, my heart mourns with you. Mel was such a light while here, and I'm sure God will ensure that she will be the same from heaven. She fought the fight of faith. God proved his power of healing continously, that encouraged everyone to believe in his grace and love he bestowed upon her. She will be missed but loved forever, and never forgotten. I know how much you both believed with hope and courage. I'll always remember how you both shared her miracle, I played the tape so much, it broke. It has always resignated in my heart, til today. May the Lord heal your heart in time to come, sustain and keep you in his care. I Thank God and you for sharing her with us. Much love to you. God bless you In His Name. She is with you Always and I'll never forget her smile, in spite of her walk of life. Peace he leaves us I pray you will be Mel has hers. Be encouraged. Dr. Greene I hope to see you soon. You are in my prayers. Your sister in Christ.

We came to know both Melodie & yourself from your teaching the post college age class at Lake Norman Baptist Church in 2001. Our son Brian & wife Amy spoke of your love for each other and testimony for Christ that had a huge impact on their spiritual growth. Today they still serve the Lord together because of your investment in their lives. Also Rick & I remember your kindness in sharing your Seashore home with us. Melodie had a little quest book at the house where she asked God to speak to all who would stay there. This was the place where God gave Rick the inspiration to begin a marriage preparation ministry. We have been able to help many couples commit to Godly marriage because of your gift to us. EXODUS 33:14 Gratitude for the past, and love for the future. Our sympathy, Rick & Gail Myers

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Much love to you..Lynn Jordan

My Dearest Dr. Greene,
Words cannot begin to express just how deeply sorry I am for your loss. When I first started working for you I could not praise you enough and how wonderful you were to me and how special you and Melodie became and remained in my life. The bond you and Melodie shared is also something I shared with everyone and your relationship and love was envied by so many, including myself.
Again I say to you that I wish I could be there to hug you right now, however you are in my thoughts and prayers for God to give you healing and peace. And let me just reiterate how Blessed the Lord is with the Angel he has gained. I love you Dr. Greene and always remember that.

Craig, Just being reminded of the time you and Melodie spoke at Locust Hill Baptist Church "A Woman Touch Banquet", yes, someone needed to hear that LOVE story and how could you add too it now. Phil. 1:9--to live is Christ, to die is gain and Heaven has gained, no more pain, tears or fear and claim the promise that more want be put on than we can bear. The entire family is being lifted up with fervent prayers.
