Minnie Gillyard Obituary
Irene Little Gillyard
LAURENS -- Mrs. Gillyard died Sunday, January 3, 2010 in the Levine- Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville, NC. She was formerly of Brooklyn, NY and a native of Laurens, SC. She was a member of the First Church of God, 231 Corban Avenue, Concord, NC.
She is survived by one daughter, Remonia (Merrill) Hunter of Indian Trail, NC; two brothers, Willie Edward Little of Laurens, Perry Little of Washington, DC; two sisters, Mary Cherry of Brooklyn, NY, Cornelia Lewis of Queens, NY; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010, 11 a.m. at the First Church of God, Concord, NC, with Rev. David Lockhart officiating. The body will be placed in the church on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Jersey Cemetery, Laurens, SC. The family will receive friends Friday, January 8, 2010 at the First Church of God, Concord, NC with viewing of the remains from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The family is at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Remonia and Merrill Hunter, 2016 Cornflower Lane, Indian Trail, NC and a brother and sister-in-law, Willie Edward Little and Sarah Little, 115 William Street, Laurens, SC.
Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens, SC is in charge of arrangements assisted by A.E. Grier, Jr. Funeral Home, Charlotte, NC.
