Nadine Matthews Obituary
Mrs. Matthews was born on December 29, 1931 in Union County, daughter to the late Charlie and Lela Helms. She was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family and also worked as a receptionist for 20 years at Shear Expressions.
Survivors include her beloved husband Ned Matthews of Weddington; children Vickie Templeman (David) of Richmond, Sylvia Strand (Mike) of Indian Trail, Todd Matthews (Kathy) of Waxhaw, Marlinda Bergdoll (Jim) of Weddington, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 siblings and 1 sister-in-law.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 10 AM until 11 AM with funeral services beginning at 11 AM at Weddington United Methodist Church. Interment will follow the service in the Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Novant Health Hospice, PO Box 33549, Charlotte, NC 28266-3549, Weddington United Methodist Church, 13901 Providence Road, Weddington, NC 28104, or to Council on Aging, 1401 Skyway Drive, Monroe, NC 28110.
Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel. An online guestbook is available at www.heritagecares.com.

I am so sorry to hear about Nadine's passing! I always enjoyed talking with Nadine over the years, when I came to get my hair done! She was such a wonderful woman who loved your Dad and all her family so very much!! What a treasure she was! And what a treasure you all were to her! Dear Family of Nadine, She was such a very special person to me and I am so sorry to say that we have been in the mountains visiting my brother and have just returned home today, Monday August 15 at 3 PM.
