Odell Pride Obituary
Mr. Pride, 85, of Charlotte, son of the late Tom and Maggie Curlee Jennings Pride, was born on May 30, 1919 in Fort Mill, SC. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral service is 1:00 PM Saturday, January 8, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, with visitation from 12:00-1:00 PM. Dr. Gregory K. Moss, Sr. will officiate. Interment will be in the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
Odell, a soldier in God's Army, was a positive example and influence, and loved to encourage young people. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in World War II, receiving an honorable discharge. He leaves to cherish fond memories, one brother and sister-in-law, Willie Pride, Sr. and Frances Jones Pride of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Alexander Funeral Home of Charlotte is assisting the family.
