Odis Cain Obituary

Odis Lee Cain
DALLAS -- Mr. Cain, 84, formerly of Bladenboro, NC, died October 2, 2005 at Rehabilitation and Health Center of Gastonia.
Mr. Cain was in the Army, an was in World War II. He was a POW in the Battle of the Bulge in Germany. He is preceded in death by a son, Tony L. Cain, and a granddaughter, Tiffany Beth Bryson.
Funeral service is 3 PM Thursday, October 6, at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Michael V. Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Lewis Cemetery, Bladenboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Mr. Cain is survived by his wife, Annie Ruth Russ Cain of the home; four daughters, Linda Bernhardt of Greensboro, Joyce O'Steen of Belmont, Carol Cain of Morganton and Beth Bryson of Charlotte; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made Disabled Veterans of America, Dept. of NC, PO Box 28146, Raleigh, NC 27611, or DAV Federal Building RM 115, 251 N. Main St., Winston-Salem, NC 27155.
Lewis Funeral Home of Bladenboro is assisting the Cain family.

My love and deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Mr. Cain. I know all of you have been dealing with some especially difficult situations. Please know that Mr. Cain is now free from his burdens and that he is loved and cared for beyond measure in his new home in heaven. Please allow these thoughts to comfort you. My prayers and my love are with you.
