Pamela Barnes Obituary
Pam was a fun-loving individual and had a great sense of humor. She was generous hearted and masterful at making celebrations special. Pam loved to read and loved excursions to the beach. She enjoyed photographing everything, especially family, relishing the role of family photographer. She was a loving wife to David and dedicated mother to son Dryden and step-son Clayton. She was also an exceptionally devoted and loving aunt to her many nephews and nieces. Pam was a loyal friend and made life-long relationships wherever she went.
In addition to her parents, survivors include husband David Barnes; son, Dryden Barnes of the home; step-son, Clayton Barnes (Arika) of Raleigh; sisters Cynthia Waterman (David) of Dryden NY, and Cheryl Ginn (David) of Huntersville NC; brother Brent Maynard (Maria) of Seneca Falls NY; and many nieces and nephews.
The service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Assurance United Methodist Church in Huntersville NC. The family will receive friends following the service.
Memorials may be made to Assurance United Methodist Church, 9700 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd, Huntersville NC 28078. James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family. www.jamesfuneralhomeLKN.com

I am so sad to learn of Pamela's passing. I only knew her during her first 3 years of life as I left Ithaca in 1967. I have known ED and Bev since our friendship began in High School. We enjoyed watching their family grow and enjoyed having our similar age offspring enjoy times together. I remember Pam as being a happy outgoing child which apparently has served her well the rest of her life. My condolences to Ed and Bev and the family.

I met Pam when her son Dryden was 2 and in my preschool class. She was such a sweet and caring mom. Always doing whatever she could to help out with classroom needs and very supportive of all the teachers.
Years ago when I was going through a divorce, Pam came to my home and sat down with me to help me figure out my tax situation. She never charged me a penny. I was so grateful for her generosity.
My deepest condolences to the family. I know she will be missed. You are all in my prayers.

I am so sad, Pam was such a warm, kind person. I was fortunate enough to meet her at tax time, we all know how stressful that can be. She became a hair client of mine, then a friend. She helped me when I was going through a tough time in my life and she felt like a sister to me, like I knew and trusted her my whole life. I was fortunate enough to meet her husband and son, and her parents.. whom she spoke about so lovingly, it was so easy to be around her.

Pam, thank you for all the love you showed Cade, for the spiritual guidance you gave as his Godmother, and the fun and laughter you shared on your many trips that you included him in. I like to think that my mom met you in Heaven and gave you a big hug for being there for him. I promise to be here for Dryden. I love you and will miss you, but Ill see you again.
