Patricia Alllen Obituary

Patricia K. Chaney Allen PINEVILLE - Patricia K. (Chaney) Allen of Pineville, NC died on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center. She was born to the late Ethel L. and Rev. Linwood R. Chaney, Sr. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara V. Crowder and Phyllis A. Chaney; and three brothers, David, Leonard and Michael Chaney. She is survived by her husband, Alphonso, and son, Lamar, of Pineville; one sister, Delores Day of Charleston, WV, and brothers, James P. and Norman E. Chaney of Columbus, OH, Clarence (Vera) Chaney of South Charleston WV, Alvin (Daphne) Chaney of Cincinnati, OH, Raymond (Robbie) Chaney of Florissant, MO, and Linwood R. Chaney, Jr. of Charleston, WV; and a host of nieces and nephews. She began her career at Blue Cross Blue Shield and was presently employed at NCAS at her passing. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful and dedicated member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 15th; visitation will be at 12:00 noon for one hour prior to service. The family wishes to thank the staff at CMC for the excellent care given to them. Grier Funeral Service is in charge of service, 115 John McCarroll Avenue, Charlotte, NC.

I was very surprised to hear the news. Patricia never showed signs of being ill and always came to the office with a smile. My prayers goes out to her husband and son that they will hold on to one another and all of the support from their family. Patricia had a beautiful spirit and I'm glad to have known her as long as I did.

Pat was an amazing spirit. She was a great friend who knew how to see the humor in every situation. She will be missed by many. I feel truely blessed to have known her. We will meet again in heaven and she will make us all laugh again. I pray that God's love will provide comfort to the Allen and Chaney family. God bless you all.
