Patsy Connell Russell

1929 - 2017

Mrs. Patsy Russell went to be with her lord on April 13, 2017. She was born on December 23, 1929 to the late Oscar Watson Connell, Sr., and Alva Deal Connell.

Mrs. Russell graduated from Oakhurst High School in 1950 and then attended Carolina Evans college. She worked at Republic Pictures and retired from Carolina Foods, Inc. after 38 years. She had a love for her Lord Jesus and was active in serving Him in various churches. She loved singing in the choir, missionary work with children and adults and other activities. She was active in Intercessory Prayer groups and her greatest pleasure and joy was studying the scriptures, and leading the lost to Jesus.

Mrs. Russell is survived by her brother; Oscar Watson Connell, Jr. and wife Pat Connell of Charlotte, NC, nephews; Tim Connell and John Connell, a sister; Kay Stansell and her husband Larry Stansell of Indian Trail, NC, nieces; Samantha Laws and husband Tony of Hickory, NC, Stephanie Tomberlin and husband David of Monroe, NC, Courtney Connell, of Greensboro, NC, nephews; Bobby Stansell of Catawba, NC, and Ben Stansell and wife Angela of Matthews, NC. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews who are very special.

A service to celebrate Mrs. Russell's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18 at J.B. Tallent Funeral Service, Charlotte, NC. In lieu of flowers Mrs. Russell request that memorials be made to Lake Park Nursing and Rehab, 3315 Faith Church Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079.
