Paul Birchall Obituary

Paul Joseph Birchall "Joe" CHARLOTTE - Paul Joseph Birchall, 65, of Charlotte passed away in the early morning hours of August 22, 2018, at Novant Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte. A native of Tampa, FL Joe was the son of the late Melvin Birchall and Peggy Tyndall Birchall born on October 28, 1952. Joe was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. A long time member of the VFW in Holden Beach, NC. His passion was fishing and he could be found on his boat at Badin Lake with his furbuddy Bonz before he became disabled. He was co-owner of B & B Painting Co. Inc. for 33 years. Joe was a no nonsense kind of guy that has a unique outlook on life. Was quick witted, humorous and never met a stranger. He was a self taught jack of all trades with a very strong work ethic. Joe is survived by his soulmate and life partner of 32 years Deborah Martin, brothers Donnie Alphin (Jodi) of Punta Gorda, FL, Jack Alphin (Irene) of Fort Myers, FL, sister Diana Cotter of Dandridge, TN, nieces Renae Rogers of Dandridge, TN and Amanda Rogers of Charlotte, step children Trey Martin (Tracy) of Cornelius and Paige Whitson (Luke), grandaughters Jade and Ava Whitson, special great niece Anna Rose Rogers all of Charlotte. A host of other nieces, nephews and extended family. And last but not least his buddy "Bonz". In lieu of flowers, he asked that everyone Help Make America Great Again!!! A private memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being made by National Cremation Service of Charlotte.
