Peron Griffin Obituary
Rev. Peron Griffin, 82, of Charlotte, NC, passed on Friday, January 6, 2012 at his residence, to be with the Lord.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at New Waves of Joy Baptist Church, 4739 E. WT Harris Blvd., Rev. Thomas Griffin, officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Interment will Follow at Charlotte Memorial Garden.
Rev. Griffin was born March 25, 1929 in Cross Hill, S.C. to the late Thomas and Julia Griffin. Born one of twelve children. Rev. Griffin was married to the late Dorothy Griffin for 45 years. From that union, three wonderful children were born.
Survivors are: two sons, Peron L. Griffin (Ahreita) and Danny McCaine Griffin (Linda); one Daughter, Dorothy Jean Griffin, all of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Rev. Thomas C. Griffin of Willow Grove, Penn.; sisters, Otis Hill, Mary White Todd, Lillian Stephens, Julia Cunningham (Johnny) and Annette Ruffin, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Grier Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
