R. Moser Obituary
A graveside service will be at 12:30 PM Friday at Sharon Memorial Park with Reverends William B. Hill and Sammie Case officiating. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM tonight at McEwen Derita Chapel.
Mr. Moser was born March 25, 1929 in Charlotte, son of the late Reese Vanlandingham and Hester Lou Hood Moser. He attended Gloryland Baptist Church, attended Tech High School, was formerly employed by Al Brown 76 Service Station and retired from Woody's Amaco at Cotswold. Mr. Moser was an avid fisherman and race fan and was a retired auto mechanic.
Surviving are his son, L. Van Moser and wife, Jean, of Harrisburg, NC; step-daughter, Pat Bartlett of Charlotte; sisters, Norma Mancenelli of Shelby, NC, Barbara Ann Jamison of Conyers, GA, and Laura Jane Hill of Charlotte; grandchildren, June Ann Moser and Allison Dawn Moser; and two great grandchildren. Mr. Moser was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Maxine Moser.

RV was my Daddys best friend. He grew up with him in Charlotte, and stayed in close touch.
They loved to go fishing at Myrtle Beach, and had a wonderful friendship all the way up into their senior years.
My Dad (Leonard or otherwise known as 'Scarhead') was able to attend the graveside service even though he was not at all well. I really dont think that anything or anyone could have kept him from going. It was an honor for me to have been able to take him.
Our prayers are with this wonderful family! He was truely a wonderful man! My Dad thought the world of him.

In the early 1950's R.V. did all my mechanic work on my car. We used to play ball in the field on Berrt Street I the late 1930's. I thought an awful lot of RV.
