Reggie Daniel, 68, of Charlotte died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 28, 2016. He was born April 5, 1948 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Reggie was preceded in death by his father Homer Preston Daniel. He is survived by his wife Cherylanne Weaver; daughter Leah and her husband Chris McKinley; son Brett and his wife Kim Daniel; grandchildren Alex McKinley, Kaiden, Ashton, Avy and Bella Daniel; sisters Nikki and her husband Frank Meldrum and Kim and her husband Matthew Gormley and his mother Hazel B. Cash. Reggie served his country in the United States Air Force before going on to a long and successful career as a Food Service Consultant. He graduated from the Atlanta School of Art. Reggie was the Director of Design for Camacho Associates and was recognized as an industry leader and innovator. He was musically and artistically gifted and was immersed in the restoration of vintage vehicles, the love of classic rock and blues, and motorcycles. He lived life to the fullest each and every day. Reggie brought giggles to all those he knew and met. There were no challenges too great for him and he was a genuine and selfless man. A celebration of Reggie's life will be held Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11:30 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
