I just learned of the transition of my friend, Reginald. He helped me so much by introducing me to Dick Gregory´s protein diet supplement, which started me on my vegetarian journey; later to meet and befriend Mr. Dick Gregory after Reggie helped facilitate my move to Atlanta in 1970. His memory is a blessing.

I don't know if you remember us (the Neequayes) since it has been many years since we have seen you or your family. Even so, we have often thought of you and remembered your family in prayer. We just learned of Reginald's passing. We remember him as being a wonderful friend especially in our time of need. Know that our prayers and thoughts are with you and the family.
May God continue to hold you close to his heart. May we all rejoice on the morning of the resurrection when families and friends will be reunited.
Take care and God bless

To Regina and the entire Irby Family, I have recently heard of Reggie's passing and am very saddened. Although I have not seen him since college I have often wondered about him. He had such a wonderful smile and beautiful heart. I am thankful to have known such an incredible person in my life and will cherish all the memories! I pray that God will cradle you all in His arms and comfort each of you. Linda Williams Shuford

Cookie, I don't know if you remember me. I was your roommate at the Kings College dorm, for CPCC students, Paulette Washington. I'm sorry to read about the lost of your husband. The Bible gives us the hope of the resurrection in which we will see our love ones again at John 5:28,29 and a time when death will be wiped out at Rev. 21:4. I hope this will bring comfort you, your daughter and the rest of your family.

To the Irby Family: Reggie was always a kind and compassionate young man. His infectious smile was the first thing I noticed about him when we met at UNC-Charlotte. Our colleagues share your loss, and pray for your comfort.

To Cookie it saddens my heart to learn of the death of Reggie. I just read it in the paper. Even though we have not seen each other in a while you are in my thoughts. I know that Reggie has lived a long life and has struggled doing the years. I pray that you and your family will have the strength to continue. I am sorry that I will be unable to attend. But I will be thinking of you all at that time. May God give you peace and strength to know that now Reggie is with Thelma and James and that now they are guardian angels looking to hold you all dear to them and will forever protect you love you all Hoover Jean and the Sloan Familes

To the Irby Family,
On behalf of Reggie's many friends and classmates from UNC-Charlotte, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies. It was always such a pleasure to be in his company. Among the many things that will be remembered most about Reggie will be his beautiful smile.

Our hearts are sad as we share with you, our dear cousins, 'Cookie' and Kineshia Ayanna and all your other family, during this time of sorrow. In our weakest times, God's strength is ours to trust. In our saddest times, His compassion is ours to heal. In all times His love is ours to share. Today, may there be peace within and may you trust God for the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
My children, Michael E. Carter, Sr, Donna Carter-Scott (Ivan) and Christopher T. Carter and our family members from Florida, New York and Pennsylvania, join me as we extend Our Sincere Sympathy. The surviving descendants of Thomas & Lela Nichols Faucette– including Annie Lee Faucette Martin, Charles (Charlie) Faucette, Eunice Orea Faucette Goode and Barbara Mae Faucette Conley (Joe) (and the descendents of Thomas “Bubba” & Leroy “Skinny” Faucette) – are all supporting your part of our family in prayer and asking God to surround you with His love and peace.
And may the LORD, who was no stranger to sorrow, give you the strength and comfort that He alone can give. May the support and presence of those who know and care for you and your family bring you peace and joy, today and during the coming years.
“.... Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you...” II Corinthians 13:11
God Bless all of you,
