Rich with Shadow
Chris Shanahan
September 5, 2014
Rich was a friend,a great neighbor, an animal lover and all around good-hearted person, willing to help anyone in need. He was also a best buddy to my dog Shadow and often took care of him when I was away. When we go for a walk, he always wants to go to Rich's door. We will both miss him very much.

I share the sadness. Rich was one of my customers at the coffee store, years ago, and it was always a joy to see him arrive with his dogs. His energy has gone back to the universe. Cindy and all, I wish you peace and comfort.

My condolences to Cindy, Scott and family. Rich had a big impact on my life at an early age. He introduced me to the Beatles, grateful dead and many others from his music collection. His compassion for others I'll never forget. I'm very greatful to have shared some of my best childhood memories with him and my North Carolina family!

Cindy, Scott and Rob words cannot express my deepest condolences. Although the paths took us apart Rich was always apart of the thread of our lives and meant more than he knew. He helped shape my early years and for that I am forever grateful. I always thought there would be time to reconnect after the healing not knowing how he would receive. Just goes to show reach out everyday no matter the out come. He is in good company now and I know at peace in the most brilliant place of Love and Light! The world lost a good one, his love, smiling face and generosity to others will be sorely missed. I would like to make a donation in his name to celebrate the loving man we all knew, please keep in touch as to when a service will be held. If there is anything you need please call. Love and Light Kim

I lost touch with Rich years ago, after I knew him through the veggie restaurant where I worked back in the early 80's called "They Laughed at Edison". He was a fine person and kind soul. I wish we could have reconnected. He will be missed. Prayers for Rich and peace for his family and friends.
