Karen,
We still think of Ken and you. Let us know if there is ever a chance to get together.

Karen, I know we still miss Ken. I am about to enter into phased retirement, and a colleague mentioned Ken and his successful phased retirement. It would have been nice to get his guidance on this next phase, but I will ask our mutual colleague so that I can get at least some of what would have been his council. I hope there will be an occasion where you can visit with Jennifer and me.

Karen,
I know we still miss Ken, as I plan another visit to China and remember our trip together. I happended to come across this mention of Ken as I was looking up information on one of the Public Policy alumni who is now in Shanghai:
What are the top 3 things you took away from the PPOL program?
1. The Quantitative Method training.
2. The real interdisciplinary training. I can feel the difference compared with my colleagues. Compared to other economists, I am more sociological. When with sociologists, I focus on issues about economics and political science. Yet, when I'm with political scientists I found we are concerned with very different issues.
3. The tough theoretical training, especially in policy process class taught by Dr. Ken Godwin. I feel stronger and stronger that I am benefited from the hard training and I do think it is necessary.
Fondly,
Peter

Karen: I will miss Ken just as golf season is starting up. Ken and I had a fun relationship playing golf. Each of us smiled when the other one hit the ball out of bounds. I still have $11.00 Ken left for our golf league from last year's winnings. I hate getting old and losing my best friends.

I will miss Ken and am sorry I could not be at the funeral. Jennifer found the service uplifting. We hope we get to see you soon.
