Tootie: Betty Pace Millar some time ago told me about the death of your son Bobby. Though I never knew him and
disappointed for such, you and yours are in my prayers. You have experience a lot of pain thru the years. May our living God give you peace, grace, and hope in his Son Jesus Christ who died, and rose again from the dead and invites us to enter into a personal relationship with Him now and for all eternity. I believe you surely have done this thru the years. The last time if saw you was in the Pineville Mall soon after the death of uncle Floyd Ferguson. I remember Pauline, Horace, Betty and Runt as a teen, but travels with the Army and civilian churches around the country and the world have separated us thr the years.
Would be my pleasure to see you again.
In Christian love,
Chaplain (Col) Ron Case, U.S. Army Ret.

I was so sad to hear about the death of Bobby.
I meet him 8 years ago when he took care to get the dish install at my ex-wife's house.
I was in the States for only a few months and he makes the effort to understand me, I'm French, and my accent was really strong at this time.
Bobby was alway's here for any help, and I can say he was a good buddy, smart and funny.
I will miss you bobby, rest in peace.
All my condelences for you the Pace family : spouse and childrens, brothers and sisters.

I never really got to know Bobby. In the two days preceeding his service, I learned a lot about Bobby from his friends and family. He led a very interesting life! I know he will be missed by many, especially by my sister. May he rest in peace.

I heard about Bobby's passing today from Gill Vanderlip and I was so sorry to hear the news. I fondly remember Bobby and Johnny from the 60's and the many weekends spent hanging out at the Web and coming to band practices at the Pace's. I also remember a song "ABBA". Wasn't that Bobby and Johnny who recorded that??? I remember thinking it was so cool and played the record over and over along with my sister Pat. I lost touch with all my "hippie" acquaintances, but heard of Jonny's passing years ago and was saddened. I lost my own brother 5 years ago, so my heart goes out to the family. Prayers go out for you all. I know Bobby will be missed.

Dear Bobby and Johnny,
Debby and I were just talking about the two of you as we strolled down our Garinger Memory Lane earlier this afternoon - reading aloud what each of you had written in Debby's high school annuals.
We had not heard of Bobby's passing until just moments ago.
We all had so much fun hanging out at the Pace's house, watching the bands practice and playing their gigs, and fighting over the boys (or the boys fighting over the girls), and plus riding around town in the hearse! The fun we had cannot be summarized in a sentence or two - it would take a book.
I was fortunate to see Bobby a few years ago at the Catalinas Reunion - we had a little bit of time to talk about old times and to speak of family and friends who had gone before us. It is true, the friends you make in school are for a lifetime.
I know Johnny and Mr. Pace were there to meet Bobby.
My prayers to the Pace families.

Hey big brother, I forgot to tell you that I saved a dance for you when Chris and I got married on Dec. 15th, 2007. I played "Imagine" since that's a song that you, Johnny, Donnie and Joel all loved. Even though you didn't get to come you were in my heart. I'm glad I got to talk to you the last few times I did and email you the photos of the girls, mom and I and I'm glad you got my letter in the mail and that the last thing you read from me ended with "I love you!" Please give daddy and Johnny a hug from me and please always know how very much I love you. God Bless you big brother.

My heart felt sympathies to the Pace family in the passing of Bobby. Although I did not know him as an adult I did know him as a teenager. I always enjoyed listening to him play his music with his band. I fondly remember the "Battle of the Bands" and weekends at the "Web" (at the YMCA) Though many years have passed since then I had often wondered how they were now. I am sure he will be greatly missed and my prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Always from the heart,
Janet Smith King
