I worked with Roger during my first job out of college. I moved to Charlotte NC from Grand Rapids MI so I was adjusting to the Southern (with a capital S, as he always said) culture and Roger's kind, funny, and thoughtful ways made the adjustment much easier. His love for his family, dogs, the outdoors, and God shined through daily. The world has lost an amazing man but Heaven just gained one. I'm glad there's no more suffering for him and I will pray for his family left behind.

It was our pleasure to have known Roger. He was such a smart, inventive, witty, and kind guy! His Christian example of acceptance and patience in dealing with such a debilitating disease was an inspiration to all who witnessed it. He will be missed but not forgotten. Sherry, Wanda, Melody & Jill, may God grant your family every grace needed to deal with your current sorrow and to carry on in this life without Roger. You can certainly be comforted by the fact that Roger feels no more pain since he now dwells in eternal joy with his creator, savior and Lord.
