I was remembering my old High School days in Lindenhurst when I googled Skip. I was saddened to read his obituary. He was one of the best High School Basketball players I ever had the pleasure of watching play . That 1963 team although losing the County finals to West Babylon was something special and Skip was the spark I was a student at time and all my friends and me never missed a game. Gif bless you Skip

I just happened to be cleaning out a Rolodex from my work with USAirways. Saw Roland's name and did a search. I am so sorry for your loss. He was one of a kind.

Although you were a fairly recent member of the Manasota 10-13, you had plenty of friends as members who remembered you fondly from the "old days," and were delighted to be reunited with you these last couple of months. You left us too soon, dear friend, and it's unfortunate that a lot of us didn't get a chance to know you better. Rest in Peace, Skip, and condolences to your family from the entire membership. No matter how much life a person had the privilege of living, the death of that loved one is never an easy thing to cope with. I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that you find comfort in knowing that our Father in heaven is mourning with you for He too has lost a child in death.
