Monroe, North Carolina - Ronald Hugh Stanford of Monroe, NC, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2022, at Hospice of Union County with his two sons at his bedside. Ron was born in Norfolk, Virginia, to Robert Curtis and Margaret Ramona Stanford and grew up in Charlotte, NC. He was a retired sheet metal mechanic who loved to fish and hunt. Ron was a member of the Moose Lodge and an avid Nascar, football and college basketball fan.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his twin brother Donald Wade Stanford. He is survived by his son Wade Stanford of Waxhaw, NC; son Dustin Stanford and his wife Brittany Wilson Stanford of Monroe, NC; mother of his two sons Tosh Stanford of Waxhaw, NC; sister Kathy Blackmon of South Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be a prayer service and reception from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Tribute and Tallent Funeral and Cremations, 1937 N. Sharon Amity Road, Charlotte, NC 28205.
