Roy Lee Efird

LOCUST -- Mr. Roy Lee Efird, age 58, died Friday, January 18, 2002 at his home. Born October 10, 1943 in Stanly County, he was the son of the late Robert Ross Efird and Mrs. Lamer Eudy Efird of Locust, NC, and was a machinist at Carnes & Miller Gear of Locust, NC. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2002 at Providence Church of God, Locust, NC with the Rev. Mike Dunn and Rev. Mike Rhinehardt officiating. Burial will be in Providence Church of God Cemetery in Locust, NC.
Visitation is 6-8:30 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2002 at Hartsell Funeral Home-Midland.
Survivors are wife, Mary Sistare Efird of the home; mother, Lamer Eudy Efird of Locust, NC; step-sons, Frank Legrande of Kershaw, SC and Jeff Legrande of Kershaw, SC; brothers, Ross Efird of Locust, NC, Bobby Efird of Oakboro, NC and Mike Efird of Locust, NC; sister, Brenda Hinson of Locust, NC and Carolyn Little of Oakboro, NC; 2 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother Reggie Dale Efird.
