Ruby Williams Obituary

Ruby Byrum Williams
MONROE -- Mrs. Williams, 76, of Monroe went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home in Indian Trail. Burial will follow the service at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail Cemetery next to her beloved husband, Pliney Wilson Williams who died in 1983. Her family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams was born September 23, 1934 in Union County to the late E. Lonnie and Etta Jane Belk Byrum. She and her late husband owned and operated Williams Glass Company. She loved flowers and especially roses, visiting yard sales with her sister, and traveling to the lake and mountains, but nothing exceeded her love for her family.
She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Bill Byrum, Mae Williams, E.L. Byrum, and Mildred Rowell.
Her survivors include her children, Talmadge Williams and wife Barbara, Judy Gayle Williams, Ron Williams and wife Kathy Brasington-Williams, all of Monroe; grandchildren, Lane Williams and wife Pam of Monroe, Crystal Killough and husband Derek of Pageland, Lauren M. Williams of Monroe, and Kimberly C. Williams of Monroe; great-grandchildren, Hannah M. Killough, Daniel Williams, Grayson Williams; brother, Walter Byrum of Indian Trail; sisters, Christine Horne of Indian Trail and Barbara Griffin of Gastonia.
