Sara Edmund Obituary

Frances Edmund HUNTERSVILLE - Sara Frances Barnes Edmund, age 76, of Huntersville, NC, for the past seventeen years and originally from Chadbourn, NC, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 as a result of a car accident. She retired from UCB bank in Chadbourn and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid gardener and a knowledgeable sports fan. She lived a happy and healthy life with a little "attitude;" but was always kind, gentle, and cared deeply for other people. She enjoyed her grandchildren and continued to work daily with her daughter at the Edmund Massage Center in Cornelius, where she was always "in charge." She enjoyed all the clients and her relationships with the entire therapist staff over the years. We have lost a great person and woman of huge integrity. She is survived by her children, Kaye Barnes of Lumberton, Paula Edmund of Charlotte, Richard Manly "Dickie" Edmund, Jr., of Little Rock, AR, and Leigh Edmund Harkey of New Salem; a sister, Miriam Barnes Bullard of Lake Gaston; a brother, Jimmy Barnes of Campobello, SC; numerous grand & great grand children. In lieu of flowers, family appreciates your joyful and loving remembrance of her. A Memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville, NC. A reception will follow the service in the James Funeral Home Community Room. James Funeral Home is serving the family. www.jamesfuneralhomeLKN.com.
