Shirley Collier Obituary

Shirley Lee Collier passed peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House. Shirley was born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky on March 7, 1943 to John and Noel (Saunders) Lee. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jimmy Lee, husbands, Leo Lacy, Jr., Frank Martin, and Robert Collier, and grandson, Chris Powell. Shirley is survived by her three daughters, Patty Young, Kathy (Eddie) Adkins, Robin (Ben) Medlock, sister, Billie (Lanny) Helms, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her two beloved dogs, Emmie and Holly. She was blessed with many friendships that meant a lot to her.

A graveside service with family was held at Forest Lawn East Cemetery. In leiu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Via Health Partners, 7845 Little Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28226.

Will miss you Shirley. We were in- law buddies at family occasions and shared a lot of fun. Your pain is gone my friend. Go rest high on that mountain--your work on earth is done!!!

Shirley was a very nice and fun friend to me. We enjoyed going many places together. Shirley was always ready to go out whether it was to a restaurant to Home Goods. I will miss her very much. I extend my condolences to all of her family.
