He trtuly was a masterful story teller and a true friend. Being an ortyhodox jew he gave me alot of feedback (i'll keep it clean) on his thoughts on religion. and when my eldest was born I invited Steve to the bris. In our religious discussion I always told him of my desire to taste lobster (still haven't). as a baby gift he gave a bib which said " pass the lobster". That was Steve. That was years ago as that baby would be 44 this year. I'll always have fond memories of Steve. Peace brother.

Steve Radoff was livin' the life. He was always livin' the life. He loved science and music and art, and good food, a good laugh. He didn't wait till the end. He lived life happy. He brightened the halls of Biochem, going along, always singing a little tune.

Steve was a terrific chemist. He knew reactions, he knew how to make things work. And he could fix any apparatus in the lab, always get it running. He taught me so much, how to make things work, how to fix things, too.

He was a best friend. There will be never be anyone like him. The world was a cooler place with him here.

Happy Trails Dr. Ratoff with all my love Farewell !
