Damn it, I miss my dear friend so much, I miss your big smile that lit up the whole floor and I certainly miss your daily 'Bonjours'. And of course Mike B (Remember him, the so facetiously dubbed 'The Honorable') had to make it so easy for the rest of us and make a short video clip of his precious son Wesley calling your name. On a second thought, I'm grateful that he did; what's more appropriate than to see your contagious smile (many times again) through that kid's? (You enjoyed the clip so much; it made you day. I hope that I can share the clip with everybody else here.)

Not certain about the afterlife thing, nevertheless, I'd like to tell you in the meantime as a twentieth century political figure (he's not one of your favorite, so I shall not mention his name) once said about the word goodbye: "We don't have a good word for it in English. The best is, 'au revoir.'"

BTW, you always reminded me during good (and endearingly lesser) times how we Libras are. Well, you never fooled this Libra, deep down I always knew: Your heart was so big it couldn't possibly be filled!

I am so very sorry to hear about Suzie. I have such wonderful memories of her from soccer. She was a real leader from an early age. I haven't really been in touch with anyone from our class since graduation and I am sorry that such a tragic event is what brings me back. My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to all her friends and family.

My brother Willy let me know today about Suzie's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I think I can speak for many people when I say, everybody probably has a MVHS memory of Suzi Cook. She was a friend to everyone. I never heard her say anything negative about a single person. I admired and respected her and am grateful to have known her. I am going to request a mass be said in her name at our church here in Beaufort--St.Peter's. May God keep you.

So many great MVHS memories will be treasured forever... of both Suzie and the whole Cook family. I remember Suzie many days and always with a smile, working in our drive way to finish the class of 84 float before Homecoming, several years of fun soccer days and so many class of 84 activities
(especially the tootsie pop sales)!!

Suzie's smile and kind heart will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

My Love and prayers are with you all!

Ray, Judy and Family
I didn't personally know Suzie, but if she was anything like either of you she had to be a wonderful person. Over our many years as co-workers, Ray was always talking about his wonderful children. I know they all brought great joy to you and cannot begin to imagine the great loss a sudden death of a child can bring. Roy and I send our deepest condolences and prayers to each of you.

Mr. & Mrs. Cook, Andy & Lorrie:
The words Soccer, Basketball, Bruffeys and Cooks all were synonomus in my days at MVHS! Andy I remember a many away games (far away games) for tournaments that you and I would sit together and watch our sisters play ball. A mean left kick on the soccer field was always feared! I had the priviledge to be soccer manager and announcer of great games with Beryl and Suzie.
May the grace of God sustain you and may His mercy blanket you all with the wonderful memories you have with your daughter and sister for the rest of your own days. My parents always loved your family and our thoughts are with each one of you and with a husband and granddaughter we never met.
