Tannis Brown was an amazing person here on earth, and now certainly an incredible heavenly angel with her Lord and Savior.

My wife Jennifer Sherrel was a dear friend and together they were tireless warriors battling long term illness, my wife as a 15 year breast cancer survivor.

The last picture I have of my wife Jennifer is at Presbyterian Hospital with Tannis, where they were both patients in nearby rooms during the final stages of their lives. What I find amazing is that both of them still had a smile on their face in spite of the tremendous pain and suffering they were undoubtedly enduring.

Tannis lived with Peace, Hope and Joy because she knew the Truth that is Jesus. Prayers go to Jason, Megan and Drew in this time of their great loss.

My sincerest regards to everyone in Tannis's family. I had the privilege of going through undergrad and dental school at Western with Tannis and then mentored her during residency in Charlotte. She was a phenomenal human being, amazing student and wonderful dentist. My heart goes out to Jason and her daughters and they need to know that Tannis inspired and touched many people in her life.
We can all strive to be a friend, parent, spouse and colleague like Tannis.
You will be missed always and I am thankful to have spent so many years with you.

Tannis, Jason and the girls were wonderful neighbors for 6 years. I do not have the words to communicate how brave and courageous Tannis was battling her disease. Her trust and faith in Jesus Christ and her love of family was so evident and inspiring. My thoughts and prayers are with Jason and the entire family during this difficult time.
