Theodore Thevaos Obituary

Theodore Peter Thevaos
Mr. Thevaos, 95, of Charlotte, died Saturday, December 3, 2011 at The Haven in Pineville. He was born November 18, 1916 in Augusta, Georgia, son of the late Pete Theodore Thevaos and Anna Elliott Thevaos. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sara Harkey Thevaos, a brother, Constantine 'Gus' Peter Thevaos and a sister, Christine Lampros.
Mr. Thevaos graduated from Central High School in Charlotte, NC. He was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army Air Corps during World War II and flew B-24's on thirty missions over Germany. In 2001 he attended the 50th reunion of his bomber group in Norwich, England. Mr. Thevaos was the owner and founder of Owl Music Company.
Mr. Thevaos is survived by his four children, Pete T. Thevaos and his wife, Rosalind, of San Antonio, TX, William T. Thevaos and his wife, Lane, of Fort Mill, SC, Maria T. Beasley and her husband, Larry, of Atlanta, GA, and John Thevaos and his wife, Adele, of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Natalie Teixidor and her husband, Jon Pierre, Ted Thevaos and his wife, Anna, William Thevaos and his wife, Michelle, Angela Hoagland and her husband, Isaiah, Michelle Beck and her husband, Tom, Bret Thevaos, Jennifer Bell and her husband, Michael, Theodore Thevaos, and Niki L. Allen and her husband, Clint; great-grandchildren, Jordan Teixidor, Laura and Audrey Thevaos, Timothy and Joshua Thevaos, Cameron and Chloe Teixidor, Abigail, Kayla and Judah Hoagland, Heidi and Hunter Bell, and Vivienne Nicole Thevaos and Evelyn Lane Thevaos.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral with the Reverend Michael Varvarelis and the Reverend Philemon Patitsas officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The trisagion will be Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Cathedral.
Memorials may be sent to the Carolinas Aviation Museum, 4672 First Flight Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.

To all the children of Mr.Thevaos,
Maria, John, William and Peter, I am truly sorry to hear about the loss of your dear and beloved father. What a wonderful man! I will never forget the many good times I had growing up with the Thevaos' in Charlotte and the same holds true for my mom and all my siblings. Even though your dad lived a full and wonderful life,he will be greatly missed. May all of you find comfort from all the beautiful memories you have of him and your dear mother. And may their memory be everlasting!

What a wonderful, long life Uncle Theodore had. He worked hard and provided for his family and did it with absolute honor and integrity. He was devoted and caring in his quite way. He was always there for all. May God rest his soul and he is now once again with his beloved Sara. "Zoi Se Sas" to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
