'Tom'
ALBEMARLE -- Mr. Sasser, 74, of Palestine Road, Albemarle, died Friday, January 23, 2009, at 1:39pm, at CMC Union. He was born August 19, 1934, in Richmond County, NC. Visitation will be Monday, January 26, 2009, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. Chapel service Monday, January 26, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jessie Dennis will be officiating. Burial will be in Centerview Baptist Church Cemetery in Albemarle.
A mechanic, Mr. Sasser was owner/operator of Tom's Auto Repair.
Survivors include daughter Lorie Sasser of Mooresville, NC; sister in law Helen Sasser of Albemarle; sister in law Thelma Sasser of Burlington, NC; nephew Jimmy Sasser of Burlington, NC; nephew Kevin Sasser of Burlington, NC; niece Angie Sasser of Gibsonville, NC; several nieces and npehews, Benny Harris, Marie Hill, and Keith Cotslock; special longtime fiancee Margie G. Jordan of Ruby, SC; Margie's children, Amy J. Hargett and husband Tony, Amanda Smith and husband Mike of Monroe, NC; Margie's grandchildren, Justin Hargett, Logan Smith, Brandi Jordan of Monroe, NC; Margie's great grandchildren Gavin and Tyler of Monroe; Margie's sister Mabel Deese of Monroe, NC.
he was preceded in death by father Luther Mance Sasser; mother Bertie Estelle Morgan Sasser; wife Gennet Wilson Sasser; brothers Paul and J.D. Sasser; sisters Minnie Bell Haywood, Emma Cotslock and Doris Harris.
Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle in in charge of the arrangements.

Lorie, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. He was a good man and I thought a lot of him. But, just think, he's in heaven now with your mom.
She was a wonderful lady and I loved her and I love you too Lorie. You are such a sweet and beautiful woman. My prayers and thoughts are with you. God will see you through.
