Todd Welsh Obituary
MOORESVILLE -- Mr. Welsh, 45, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on May 1, 1963 in Walbridge, OH, he was the son of Sondra Helbert Welsh of Mooresville and James Sherrod Welsh and wife, Jan of Ashland, OH. Todd was a US Army veteran serving in the Gulf War and owner of Man & A Mower Lawn Care Service.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Mildred Welsh, Al and Evelyn Richmond; sister, Kimberly Sue Welsh and uncle, Timothy L. Richmond.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Lou Ann Alery and husband, Mike, niece and nephew, Sondra and Matthew Alery all of Otsego, MN; aunt and uncle, Jack and Sonia Warriner of Waco, TX.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 11 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 in Ashland, OH with Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home serving the family of Mr. Welsh.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the Welsh family.

We did'nt know Todd but a short 3 years but he meant so much to all of us! He was such a wonderful friend to have. We all will miss him greatly. The Guys really will at the track. To all of Todd's family and friends, you have my deepest sympathy and my most heartfelt prayers.
I only knew Todd for a short time as one of his CNAs on the weekend night shift while he stayed with us at Lake Norman Regional Center. Even through the worst part of his treatment, he'd be cracking jokes and trying to lighten the mood. Todd was an inspiration to everyone around him.
Todd, you're in a better place with no pain or tears. Those that love you can rejoice in the fact that they will see you someday. But until then, you'll be watching over us all.

Dear Mrs. Welsh,
I was so sad to hear of Todd's passing. We had some great times together while we were at Ashland High School. I'll always picture him with a smile on his face. He had so many humorous stories about the goings on in our simple lives, and kept us laughing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My heart is heavy for you and Todd. It's hard for us earthlings to see the 'forest for the trees.' I'm do not have the words to express my sadness for you.
He was a wonderful, sweet devoted son that you were blessed to have in your life for 45 years. Have faith that you will see him again for your eternal life with him in heaven when he won't be sick anymore.

TODD WILL SURELY BE MISSED BY ALL HIS FRIENDS AT LAKE NORMAN AUTO & TIRE. WE ALL LOOKED FORWARD TO TODD DROPPING BY WITH SOME INTERESTING STORY ABOUT HIS TRUCK OR A 4 WHEELING ADVENTURE. HE WOULD NORMALLY COME BY AT LEAST ONCE PER WEEK AND HAVE US LAUGHING ABOUT SOMETHING. I KNOW HOW MUCH HE LOVED HIS MOM AND FAMILY. TODD LEAVES US WITH GREAT AND FUN MEMORIES OF HIS VISIT ON THIS EARTH. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING TODD AGAIN AT THE AUTO REPAIR SHOP IN HEAVIN.
