I have Wayne in my thoughts today. He was a dear, close friend to Frank Christie. We spent many happy times together while he lived in Winston Salem. He was a good, loyal friend. I still miss him.

I can't believe my search has led me here. I spoke with Wayne several years ago, and he shared a bit about his illness, but I just continued to believe he had beaten this cruel disease. I loved him like family. We were close for many years, and I am so sad that in my search to find him, I learned that I won't get the opportunity to hear that infectious laugh again, or see that wonderful smile. He was a true friend. No matter how long it was between visits, it was as though no time had passed at all.
May God give him comfort in His mighty fortress, and all who knew and loved him, hold his memories dear forever. He was definitely one of a kind! Sending out love and prayers for his family.

To Wayne's family and friends,
I met Wayne in 1989 when we both lived in Winston-Salem. We didn't stay in touch until years later after we both moved to the lake. What a great, positive guy. I only wish my wife and I would have spent some time with him during these last few years. He is truly an inspiration on how to handle illness and make the most of life. Certainly God will bless him.

To the Pardue Family,

I've known Wayne for over 20 years as a competitor and a friend. Many of us in the insurance industry know how he struggled and have supported him in our thoughts and prayers. I hope others will honor Wayne's memory through the Nevada Cancer Institute and through personal health testing.

Dear Amber and Tara,

David and I have so many fond memories of our time as backyard neighbors in King. We loved your family and shared some wonderful times together. You were a real part of our family, as we loved you as daughters, as well as Wayne and Brenda as close friends. We are so proud of you and know that you both have such bright futures. You were such a support for Wayne during his slow, grave illness. Your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers. If you ever need us for anything, we will be here for you. We love you and will be praying for comfort in the days ahead.

Love and Prayers, David and Phyllis Sloan

Amber, Tara, Josh, Miles, Alton, Sylvia, Janet, Jerry and beautiful Etta,
Our hearts are broken. Wayne is more than dear to us, he has been deep in our hearts from the moment he graced our lives. We have always counted the times with him and his friendship as some of the greatest treasures we have known. Each time he went away, we were sad but always, we looked forward with joy to see his smile once more. Amy, I and the children will keep Wayne's wonderfulness in our hearts forever. We pray that all of you will be happy in your thoughts and dreams of him until you see him again on God's golden shore. All our love and respect to you.
