To the Beck family,
I had the opportunity to meet Skipper prior to Arena Racing where i did security as a part time job away from the police dept here in Charlotte. When my wife passed away in Dec 2007 at 43 yrs old, MY friend Skipper Beck offered words of inspiration and i know that he was there for me to talk to because i took him up on that offer on numerous ocassion. He was generous to me and my family and he will be missed not only by me but the entire community, I miss my friend Skipper and know Beck family that my thoughts and prayers are with you daily. May God Bless you all the way he blessed us when he gave Skipper to all of us.

Having grown up in the neighborhood with all of you, I was a shocked to see the notice in Latins magazine. I'm happy to see how well Skipper did in life. I still remember when Skipper bought that car from the "other" dealership and had to get rid of it. Take Care. Bill McMahon MD

Dearest Beck Family:
Skipper is the only person I know that left this earth with no regrets, he was able to do everything he ever dreamed of and then some. It was a pleasure to have been with the Beck Family for 42 years.
May God keep you encircled in his loving care during this time of grief and sadness.
Having known Skipper since he was 4 years old, he was indeed one of a kind and full of life. Just keep the memories of him alive as Brandon and Graham live their lives. I know Graham especially will remind us all of Skipper every day.
I love each of you, and you are in my prayers daily. I cannot imagine what you are going through, except Bobby and Kelly. I lost my dear brother in June and it is like loosing part of your soul. This brother was also the rock of our family.
Keep looking up and looking to Jesus to sustain you in this time and in the future.
Much love and many prayers

Beck Family, I wanted to let you all know I am praying for you. Even though it was a long time ago, I worked for Bill Beck some 13 years in the service department. Skipper, Bobby and Kelly would come to the dealership and we did have a time. My heart hurts for you all. I am so thankful, Skipper came to Christ and knew the love of Christ. I wil pray for that special peace only the LORD can give. Debbie, Charlotte

Our condolenses to you and your family. It is times like this that we need to reflect on God's Word the Bible for Comfort. Here are a few scriptures that I'm sure will bring you and yours comfort.
Jesus Christ boldly promised: “Just as the Father raises the dead up and makes them alive, so the Son also makes those alive whom he wants to. Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus’] voice and come out.” (John 5:21, 28, 29) Yes, Jesus Christ promised that millions now dead will live again on this earth and have the prospect of remaining on it forever under peaceful, paradisaic conditions. (Luke 23:43; John 3:16; 17:3; compare Psalm 37:29 and Matthew 5:5.) Since Jesus made the promise, it is safe to assume that he is willing to fulfill it.

Dear Lynn, Brandon, Graham, Mrs. Beck, Kelly, Bobby and the entire Beck family, my heart is overwhelmed for each of you. I have good memories of taking care of all the Beck children when they were young. I know dad was a dear friend of Bill Sr. and I have fond memories of several Christmas Eves in the Beck home. I remember seeing Skipper on the golf course and how we all joked that he resembled Vince Gill back in the day. Lynn, I am sure Brandon and Graham have grown up to be fine young men, and you must be so proud of them. I always remember you as a beautiful, strong woman and I pray the Lord will see you and your family through this difficult time. I pray for strong moments together as a family. In quiet moments remember others love you, and will continue to keep you and your family in prayer. Dear Lynn ~
Since Friday morning you and your family have been heavily on my mind. I've thought so often of the years I spent with the Hornets and how often we could count on seeing Skipper at our games, cheering madly and getting the crowd around him pumped up just by his enthusiasm. He was also the first to sign up for any charity project we hosted ... in particular, Top Hats and High Tops which raised money for our children's charities. The entire Beck family is such an integral and beloved part of our community that I can't imagine a Charlotte without Skipper Beck in it.
I send to you and your children - and to Skipper's brother, Bobby, - my most sincere sympathy and prayers.
And in closing, Heaven just got a whole lot livelier, didn't it?!
Sincerely,
Loyce Deaton

Dear Beck family,
I was deeply saddened when I heard the news on Friday of Skipper's tragic accident. I loved the 39 1/2 years I was a part of the Beck family at the Beck dealerships working for Bill Beck and then for Skipper. I love each of you and am praying that God send his amazing grace to comfort you during the days ahead.

He taught us all that just because you were working hard, didn't mean you couldn't have fun also!! To the family of William "Skipper" Beck,
I send my condolences to your and your family at this difficult time. I wanted to leave a comforting thought with you from Revelation 21:4 that says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away"
Wouldnt it be nice to have death be done away with and live in peace? Not to have illness or pain anymore? I hope this thought today can bring some comfort and hope to your family in mourning......

Our daughter Lindsay worked for Skipper for a year and he was a wonderful boss and friend to her and her husband Paul. Skipper and his wife even came all the way to Bismarck, North Dakota for their wedding last summer. We all (6 of us) came to Charlotte last Thanksgiving to visit Lindsay and Paul, and he gave us tickets to a Bobcats game and even came over to talk to us. He joked that if we didn't get him some sweetcorn he could stop us at the Charlotte airport and not let us in and he knew people. We hoped to have a good crop to share but didn't. What a wonderful generous man. I'm very sad for his family and all who shared his life. The world will miss him.

Dear Pat:
My son Ernie, who is a pilot called me tonight, to tell me that Skip passed away in a plane crash.
You may not remember me, but I remember you and your family when I worked Jodphurs/TRC with my husband Perry. I will never forget all the beautiful flowers you sent to my home when Perry died.
I know your heart is hurting and no words I can say will ease that pain. But I wanted you to know how much you helped me.
I don’t know if you know this but. after Perry died I lost almost everything I had. I didn’t have a car to get to work. Skip gave me an old car off the lot. That is the kind of good heart he had.
You are in my thoughts and prayers tonight.
