I was a lifelong friend of Billy Huggins in Troy, Alabama. We had many exploits and lived life as fully as our financial status permitted. Remember with great fondness that lovely red-haired and freckled Sara Catherine Atwell who turned into a beautiful woman and a saint to Billy. In our communications he was known as Bilko and I as Gridley. There will never be another to match. Bill Lindsey

Bill was my (second?) cousin and one of my mother's favorite people. His voice had a certain resonance that was instantly recognized. We shared stories and pictures on email and I appreciaated everything he sent my way. He was a lovely gentleman and he will be missed. Linda Karch

Bill and I became friends February 16, 1964 when we both decided to become Alabama State Troopers, We instantly became best friends, when we left the Police Academy we never saw each other again in person, but that friendship lasted forever through phone calls, letters and email. I will never forget Bill and he will always be one of my best friends.

To the family of "Mr. Bill"....We got to know and love Bill in 2000 when we retired and moved back to the Charlotte area. He was a good neighbor and a very dear friend. We enjoyed all his wonderful stories for he was quite a "Story Teller". We will miss him more than he will ever know.
Our Loving Sympathy to all the Family.

To all the beloved family of "Bill". My husband Al Young and I (Carol Ann) met Bill online while searching for our ancestors(genealogy) Al enjoyed conversation w/Bill about his days as an Alabama State Trooper/Al telling Bill about his escapades in the Fire Department. Bill assisted me with genealogy research; helping me locate a gr gr grandfather who served in the CW/Miss.Calvary. He spoke of his beautiful family on so many occasions. He mentioned his daughter in San Antonio frequently and his family in Kingwood-- we corresponded frequently prior to the hurricane. Bill was a fine man we were priviledged to become acquainted with via internet. He will be missed so much. May you all be conforted in knowing how many folks cared for Bill.
