Edward Cueny Obituary

Edward B. "Ted" Cueny, born on April 6, 1942 in Detroit, passed peacefully on Jan. 10, 2018. He was 75.
Ted was a resident of Cheboygan, living at Long Lake at the time of his death. A much diversified business man, Ted worked in the graphic arts industry from 1962 through 2012. He joined the hospitality industry in 1987 when he purchased The Pines Restaurant and Lounge in Cheboygan. With Ted's outgoing personality, love of people, and his gift of gab The Pines was a perfect fit and suited him well.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alice (Hasse) Cueny; his brother, Raymond Dean Cueny; and his sister, Elizabeth Yorkison Sabatasso.

Ted is survived by his children, Paul Raymond (Melody) Cueny, Cathy Anne Cueny, and Dean Michael Cueny; grandchildren, Kristi (Jami) Boyce and Jeffrey (Shirley) Cueny; two great granddaughters, Amira and Arabella Boyce; daughter-in-law, Barbara (Cronander) Cueny; brother, Richard Thomas Cueny; and faithful friend, Gail (DeSandy) Cueny, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life and luncheon will be held on Sunday Jan. 28, 2018 from 12-5 p.m. at The Pines Restaurant & Lounge, 3976 Orchard Beach Road, Cheboygan. In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated to help with final expenses. Cremation arrangements were in care of the Chagnon Funeral Home.
