Amanda Hiatt Obituary
She was a native and lifelong of Cherokee County, and the daughter of the late Melinda Henson and Edward Chastain of Murphy.
Amanda loved reading, especially audio books, writing and being an artist. She was a video gamer. Amanda was a loving mother.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her cousin, Chad and father-in-law, Jimmy Hiatt.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Hiatt; one daughter, Zola Hiatt; one sister, Bonnie Chastain of Murphy; bonus mother, Barbara Chastain; cousins, Paul, Maria, Shelley, Kim Sabrina and Amy; nieces and nephews, Levi, Landon, Connor, Abbie, Haley, Ashton, Stephen, Michael, Abby, Molly, Camryn and Amy; mother-in-law, Sue Taylor (Larry) sister-in-law, Jamie Faulkner (Scott); two brother-in-laws, David Dean (Lori) and Chris Hiatt (Kim); and several aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy. A eulogy was given by family and friends.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
