Arnold Beaver Obituary

Arnold Layne Beaver, 86, of Murphy, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Arnold was born in Murphy to the late James "Jim" Richard and Gwendolyn Hamby Beaver. He worked as a carpenter and loved deer hunting for more than 40 years and fishing.
He was a United States Navy veteran. He served in the Navy on an aircraft carrier working on the flight deck of USS Bon Homme Richard.
He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Violet Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Dempsey Beaver; his brothers, Howard and Harold Beaver; and his grandson, Ashley Wilson.
He is survived by his daughter, Nata Kimbrough of Commerce, Ga.; his sisters, Marcella Dillard, Marlene Clayton (Ronnie) and Margaret Mann, all of Murphy; his grandchildren, Allison Wilson (Todd) and Alleah Crawford (John); his great-grandchildren, Allie Thomas (Levi), Rachel Morgan, Faylee Crawford, Jack Crawford, Hank Wilson and Levi Wilson; and one great-great-grandson, Morgan Thomas.
A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy with the Rev. Sonny Beaver officiating, and nephew Jason Cutshaw, was also a speaker. Burial was in Violet Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Johnny Dillard, Ronnie Dillard, Israel Campbell, Jason Cutshaw, Bruce Murphy and Phillip Murphy.
The family received friends from noon-1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy prior to the funeral service.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
