Avery Chastain Obituary
He worked several years at MGM Brakes in Murphy.
He loved auto mechanics and dirt track racing.
He was the son of the late Olen "Bondo" and Lorain Sutton Chastain. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Danny and Narvil Chastain; and two sisters, Marilyn Wallace and Beatrice Chastain.
Surviving are three brothers, Olin Chastain Jr. and wife Becky of Lawrenceville, Ga., Doug "Bondo" Chastain and wife Marie of Murphy, Arvil Chastain and wife Alva of Murphy; three sisters, Diane Owl of Marble, Mary Ann Measmer and husband Gene of Murphy, and Patricia Ashe and husband Wayne of Marble; and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mary Ann Measmer, 950 Cook Bridge Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, was in charge of all arrangements.
