Doris Allison Obituary
She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Myrtle Bryant Marrow.
Doris was a wonderful homemaker. She liked to travel, talking to new people because she never met a stranger.
Doris enjoyed going to church, canning and working in the flower garden. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to the parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Allison; granddaughter, Alicia; and son-in-law, Jack Simonds Jr.
Surviving are her husband of 70-plus years, James "Red" Allison; a daughter, Sandra Simonds; and a grandson, Justin Simonds (Lauren).
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Murphy, with the Revs. Kenny Corn, Allen Harris and Keith Allison officiating. Singers were Allen Harris, and the Corn family. Interment was in Hopewell Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were J.W. Bryant, Charles Bryant, Joseph Crowe, Joshua Laney, Robert Payne, Jon Payne, Shannon Palmer and Justin Simonds.
The family received friends from noon-1 p.m. at Townson-Rose Funeral Home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in loving memory of Doris Allision to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

Doris is a precious soul. She has moved to her heavenly home. She was always so sweet and she would send cards to everyone. I am blessed to have known her on earth and I can´t wait till we meet again. Prayers for you all.
