Gary Ware Obituary

Gary Rex Ware, 82, of Murphy, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
Gary was born in Cherokee County to the late Fred William and Wilda Mae Dye Ware.
He had worked in construction. Gary was a jack of all trades, loved to read the Cherokee Scout, eating Bojangles biscuits and telling jokes. He especially loved spending time with his wife of 61 years.
Gary was a member of Bear Paw Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Ware and Larry Ware; and his sister, Joyce Bandy.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Debra Kimbrell Ware; his brother, Ronnie Ware (Glenda Sue); and several special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy with Pastor Steve Ware and Pastor Calvin Murphy officiating. Singers were Andy and Tammy Ware. Burial was at Friendship Baptist Church in Murphy with Pastor Bobby Lovingood officiating graveside. Pallbearers were Seth Morgan, Tyson Lovingood, Paul Kimbrell, Donald Ware, Gerry Paiva and Rusty Bailey. Honorary pallbearers were Carson Lovingood and Owen Lovingood.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy the evening before the funeral service.
