Helen Morrow Obituary
away Monday, Sept. 29, 2025.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County. Helen was the daughter of the late Horace and Tina Loudermilk Thomas.
She worked as a seamstress. Helen liked to read, do word search puzzles, and watch Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. She always enjoyed making candy and Amish bread around Christmas for everyone in the community. Helen loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Violet Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Morrow; five brothers, Hoyt, Frank, Ben, Clyde and Carl Thomas; sibling, Roy; and two infant sisters.
She is survived by her son, Travis Morrow (Tracie); one daughter, Angie Davis (Brian); five grandchildren, Caleb Davis (Kathryn), Zack Davis (Amanda), Stephen Mercer, Taryn Morrow and Aidan Morrow; three great-grandchildren, Brantley Davis, Mayleigh Davis and baby Bellami on the way.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, in Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Rev. Chris Matheson will officiate.
Music was provided by Chloe Matheson. Burial was in the Violet Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Caleb Davis, Zach Davis, Aidan Morrow, Brian Davis, Eric Davis and Luke Morrow. Honorary pallbearers were great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home was charge of all
arrangements.
