Kloie Cox Obituary

Kloie MatteAnne Cox, 19, of Hayesville, gained her angel wings on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025.
She was a native of Clay County and a 2024 graduate of Hayesville High School.
Kloie loved working alongside her dad. She was a dedicated and determined worker. She aspired to be a diesel mechanic and was currently studying to do so.
Kloie was a gifted artist from a young age and had drawn many unique and beautiful pieces. She had a tremendous love for all creatures great and small. She took in many pets over the years and nursed many back to health.
Kloie's sports interest also fit her character. She played softball and threw shot put and even expanded into both wrestling and football. Her tenacity and drive led her to Motocross where she continued to exhibit her strength, determination and toughness.
Some of her favorite memories were made fishing with her sister, KlayreBear, and Granddaddy Cox. She found comfort and someone to confide in with her grandmother, Anne Marie.
She had a magnetic personality that drew people to her and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was the bond that held many together, the light of her parents' life, and will be remembered and loved forever.
She was the paternal granddaughter of Betty Cox of Hayesville and the late Tim Cox, and maternal granddaughter of the late Allen Timothy Jr. and Anne Marie Hohmann Tait.
She is the daughter of Matthew Cox and Katherine Anne Marie Tait Cox, both of Hayesville. She is also survived by three siblings, Klayre MaKaylin Cox and beloved dog, Freya of Hayesville, Cory Matthew Cox of Roswell, Ga., and Kiersten Cox Lanthier and husband Jimmy of Duluth, Ga.; her beloved dog, Arthur, and cat, Mittens; and also survived by countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville. A private graveside service will follow at the Hohmann Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Cox, Mark Cox, Raymond Leo Hohmann Jr. and Raymond Leo Hohmann III. Honorary pallbearers will be Cory Matthew Cox an Peter "Pete" Hohmann.
The family will receive friends from noon-1:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 prior to the service.
