Linda Waldroup Obituary

Linda Waldroup, 66, of Marble, passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, at her residence.
She was a native of Baltimore, Md., but had been living in Cherokee County most of her life. Linda was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith.
She was the daughter of the late Rev. Bishop Jack and Shirley Simonds, and wife of the late Larry Hamby and Rex Waldroup.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wade Hamby; and two sisters, Gail Pritt and Darlene Smith.
Surviving are her daughter, Crystal McCabe of Andrews, N.C.; four sisters, Loretta Huskins of Andrews, Evelyn Anthony of Georgia, Carolyn Anderson of Andrews and Roxanne Cosner of Andrews; two brothers, Jack Simonds Jr. of Tennessee, and David Simonds of Bryson City, N.C.
No services are planned at this time.
Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, is in charge of all arrangements.
