Patrick Joseph Keenan II, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, from Murphy, N.C., passed away at 9:23 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, to live in eternal glory with Jesus Christ.
Born on Nov. 13, 1955, in Frankfurt, Germany, Patrick was the son of Joyce Morgan Keenan and Patrick Joseph Keenan Sr., a decorated sergeant in the U.S. Army. He spent his formative years in Florida and graduated from Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Class of 1973.
Patrick dedicated 33 years of service to the Volusia County Traffic Engineering Department, retiring as foreman. Known for his work ethic and leadership, he was respected by colleagues and friends alike.
A true craftsman, Patrick had a passion for woodworking, motorcycle riding and restoring vehicles. His creativity and dedication were evident in every project he touched.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Angie; his daughter, Crystal McLeod; his son, Michael Keenan, and Michael's fiancee, Lindsay Strausbaugh; and his grandchildren, Shane, Cierra, Rylee and Dylan. He is also survived by his brother, Jim, and sister-in-law, Joann; his stepsons, Chuck and Brett Teal; his daughter-in-law; Sara Teal; and many beloved cousins from the Morgan side of the family.
Patrick's warmth, wisdom and generous spirit will be sorely missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
