Albert Lehenbauer Obituary

Rev. Dr. Albert W. ''Tony'' Lehenbauer, age 84, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Chicago, beloved husband of Virginia M., nee Hashagen; loving father of James M. (Pauline) Lehenbauer, Barbara Ellen Lehenbauer and Janet G. (Steven) Allmon; proud grandfather of Stephanie, Timothy, Jonathan Allmon, Daniel (Bonnie), Carl, Michael, Laurie and David Lehenbauer; dear brother of Edward Lehenbauer, Anne (late Maurice) O'Gara and Dorothy (late Theodore) Schoech. During WW II he was a chaplain and contact pastor for the Armed Services Commission of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. His career would include missionary work, mission pastor at Annapolis and the Army reserves and executive chaplain of Northern IL District until his retirement, also on staff at Trinity Lutheran in Roselle until retirement this year. Visitation Monday, 5 to 8 p.m at The Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton St., Arlington Heights, 847-253-3710. Funeral services Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. in the St. John's Chapel at the home. Interment St. Johns Cemetery, Arlington Hgts. Memorials to the Lutheran Home, Trinity Lutheran Mongolian Mission, 405 S. Rush, Roselle, IL 60172, or Concordia Scholarship Fund, 7400 Augusta, River Forest, IL 60305 appreciated. Funeral care provided by G. L. Hills Funeral Home. 847-699-9003.
