Albert Sucha Obituary

Albert R. Sucha, age 85, of Darien, IL passed away on September 20, 2023. He was born on January 17, 1938. Al is survived by his beloved wife Marge of 23 years, his children Deborah (James) Chereskin, Bradley (Lynne Rinck) Sucha, Eric (Laura) Sucha, Carolyn (Brian) Zelina and step-children Stephanie, Matt and Melisa Walen as well as his grandchildren Jeremy (Angela), Kelsey, Ryan, Kellie, Kevin, Ivan and Beverly. He was a U.S. Marine veteran. Al was employed most of his career in Tool and Die at Electro-Motive Division. He was considered the "originator" of all dad jokes. Favorite hobbies included coin collecting, trading stocks, bowling and golfing. Al was a passionate White Sox fan, and avid golf and tennis fan and had a soft spot for the many animals he and Marge cared for, indoors and out. We will miss his wit, wisdom and love and even his spirited political views. Visitation 10 a.m. – 12 noon Saturday October 7, 2023 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove, with a Memorial Service being held at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society at https://givenow.lls.org. Funeral info 630-964-6500
