Alfred L. Kresse

Alfred L. Kresse, 88, of Wheaton, formerly of Downers Grove, beloved husband for 61 years of Edith; dear father of Alfred Jr. (Ann) of Romeo, MI and Thomas (Sara) of Golden, CO; proud grandfather of Ryan, Stephen, Nathaniel, Michael and the late Rebecca. Born Oct. 27, 1914 in Menominee, MI, Mr. Kresse served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Major in the Ordinance Corps. He worked for Western Electric as an engineer for 40 years, and was also a member of St. John Lutheran in Wheaton, where he attended the JOY group. Visitation Thursday, June 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. Funeral Service Friday 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 125 E. Seminary, Wheaton.
