Andres Davila Colom, Korean War Veteran, beloved husband of the late Niza, nee Acevedo; loving father of former Alderman Vilma Colom, Adelmees (Tony) Quintana, Janice (Laurence) Kahn and stepfather of Ramsey and Sebastion Colom; dearest grandfather of Francesca Greene (Noel) Rivera, Omar Otero, Anthony Quintan, Jesus Quintana, Rebecca Kahn, and Daniel Kahn; great-grandfather of Nicolette Rivera, Angelique Rivera, Omar Otero Jr. and Destiny Quintana; also nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday, 11 a.m. from Casey-Laskowski & Sons Funeral Home, 4540-50 W. Diversey Ave., to St. Mark Church. Mass 12 noon. Interment Irving Park. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m.

I would like to express my condolences to the Colom family. Although I only met Mr. Colon a handful of times, my father told many stories about the old days when he and Andy were colleagues in the T.V. repair business. He called my father "Mexico" and was a very colorful and animated man. Andy and the rest of the family are in mine and my family's prayers.
