To Angelo's children and grandchildren,

My sympathy and condolences on your loss. I first got to know Angelo Creticos in 1951 when he capped off his residency training in internal medicine at the U. of Illinois' Research and Educational Hospital in Chicago (later re-named University of Illinois Hospital), while I was also finishing up. I was impressed with him as a physician and good friend. Our last contact was about a year ago at the U. of Illinois Medical Center in relation to the Chicago Diabetes Project, a very promising world-wide collaboration that he strongly supported, and that my wife and I supported as well. We enjoyed recalling our old times together. He has made a mark on the world, and will be missed.

Dear Peter, Cathy, and Helen,

I'm so glad Diane got to see you. Please know that I'm thinking of you. I was just talking about our fathers last week to a friend of mine because something someone said triggered a memory. The memories of our times together as families are so precious. My prayers and love are with you.

Dear Cathy and Helen,
Harry sent us the bad news. Please accept our very sincere condolences. Because of the times zones between Chicago and our place in France it happens that we will attend our saturday eve mass at the very same time you dad's funeral service takes place; we take that opportunity to say special prayers for him.
